The Heart of

Our School

We promote Respect through kindness, empathy, and positive relationships. Inclusion is central to our school, where everyone feels valued and supported.

Mindfulness encourages self-awareness, well-being, and thoughtful learning. With Determination, students build resilience, seize opportunities, and strive for success.

Together, these values create a strong foundation for lifelong learning and positive contributions beyond the classroom.

Partners in

Learning

At Kalgoorlie Primary School, we believe that families play a vital role in a child’s education. A strong partnership between home and school fosters an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed.

Through active involvement in learning, encouragement, and shared values, families help shape a child’s academic journey and personal growth. By working together with teachers, families strengthen student engagement, build resilience, and lay the foundation for a future filled with confidence, respect, and lifelong success.

🔴⚪ Book Week Parade ⚪🔴What a parade!Book Week brought some incredible characters to life across KPS. We had The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, Derek the Fish, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Alice in Wonderland, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Where’s Wally, The Gruffalo and plenty more favourites from books old and new.The excitement across the school was fantastic and it was brilliant to see students proudly stepping into the worlds of the stories they love.A huge thank you to our families for the creativity, effort and costume wrangling, and to our students and staff for throwing themselves into the fun.Another fantastic Book Week parade at KPS!#kalgoorlieps ... 🔴⚪ Book Week Door Displays ⚪🔴One of our favourite Book Week traditions is seeing every class transform their door into a celebration of a chosen book from our library.Students read, brainstorm, plan and create their displays, linking them back to their classroom learning through poems, informational texts, inquiry questions, artwork and more. The result is a school full of colour, creativity and stories around every corner. Our doors look incredible and make walking through KPS a pretty special experience during Book Week.#kalgoorlieps ... See MoreSee Less
