Lisa is one of our passionate and experienced teachers, bringing her wealth of knowledge and dedication to KPS. Originally from Zimbabwe, Lisa has called Kalgoorlie home for 12 years. She started at KPS as a relief teacher in 2016 before stepping into her own classroom in 2021.
With 27 years of teaching experience, Lisa has worked in a range of settings, including England, remote WA, Northam, and Toodyay, as well as homeschooling her five children. Always a learner, she holds a Masters in Education and brings a wealth of knowledge to KPS as both a teacher and Instructional Coach.
Lisa’s classroom is her happy place, where her calm nature and relational approach foster a sense of belonging. Using a blend of constructivist and explicit instruction, she sets her students up for success, tailoring learning to help them achieve their full potential. Her passion for education and commitment to her students extend far beyond the classroom—once you’ve had Ms. Watson, you can count on her to check in throughout your years at KPS.
Outside of school, Lisa enjoys gardening, reading, yoga, renovating, and spending time with her family and friends
