It’s hard to put into words just how much Elarna brings to Kalgoorlie Primary School. Originally from NSW, she’s proudly called Kalgoorlie home for the past 27 years. With a rich background in early childhood education, she’s worked across the sector—from long daycare and OSHC to lecturing future educators at TAFE. But it’s here at KPS, where she’s been for the past seven years, that her impact has truly been felt.
Elarna has supported students and teachers across Kindy, Pre-primary, and Years 2, 3, and 4. She’s the first to put her hand up to help and never shies away from a challenge. Her relationships with students are her standout strength—she takes the time to truly understand and support each individual, and it’s not uncommon to see her cheering them on all the way from their first day of Kindy to their graduation in Year 6. Her calm, thoughtful nature, deep school knowledge, and incredible work ethic make her a quiet force behind so many classroom successes.
Outside of school, Elarna somehow balances being a mum of two active kids, cheering from the sidelines at weekend sport, renovating her home, and squeezing in time for running and Pilates. She is an essential part of the KPS fabric—and we’re lucky to have her
