Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Angela has recently made Kalgoorlie her new home—along with her husband and one-year-old twin girls. After gradually settling into KPS at the end of Term 1, she’s now the full-time teacher in Room 3.
Angela brings with her six years of experience in early childhood education across three schools in Scotland, with a strong background in intervention and supporting students with additional needs. She’s passionate about literacy, play-based learning, and creating a nurturing classroom environment that supports the whole child. Her teaching style is hands-on, calm, and responsive, with a strong focus on one-on-one and small group instruction to meet students where they’re at.
Angela is excited to live and teach in the same community for the first time in her career, and we’re thrilled to have her. She’s already made an impact with her gentle nature, collaborative approach, and commitment to building strong partnerships with families, EAs, and students.
When not in the classroom, Angela enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, reading, and dining out. Fun fact—she’s also a trained dance teacher and hopes to embrace more outdoor learning in Kalgoorlie’s sunny weather!
