School Board Chair

Aaron Doab

Aaron Doab brings long-standing community ties and a strong parent voice to the Kalgoorlie Primary School Board. A lifelong local, Aaron has proudly watched both of his children grow through KPS—from Kindy through to Year 4 and Year 1 in 2025.

He joined the School Board in Term 4 of 2020 and has served as Board Chair since 2022. Nominated by his mother, who also works at the school, Aaron saw an opportunity to contribute meaningfully by sharing his perspective as a parent. He’s passionate about making sure all students feel included, supported, and receive a high-quality education—regardless of background or ability.

What Aaron loves most about KPS is the strong sense of community and the pride students have in their school. He values the collaboration between staff, students, and families and enjoys being part of a team that helps guide the school’s direction and growth.

Aaron is no stranger to community involvement. He currently serves as a Board Member and Disciplinary Officer for the Eastern Goldfields Netball Association. A familiar face at the hockey grounds, he has spent over 20 years with the Norths Kalgoorlie Wesley Hockey Club in roles including Committee Member, President, Competition Director, and coach. He’s also previously supported the Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association in a leadership capacity.

With his deep community roots, leadership experience, and genuine care for the school and its students, Aaron is a valued and respected member of the KPS School Board.
