There’s a lot you need to know about Chantal, who joined Kalgoorlie Primary School this term all the way from South Africa! With over 20 years of teaching experience across multiple countries—including South Africa, the USA, and Taiwan—Chantal brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our school. Inspired to teach by the many educators in her family, Chantal has taught everything from Year 1 to Year 12, in settings ranging from traditional classrooms to homeschooling groups. She’s even held the role of Pastoral Care Deputy Principal, and as a qualified counsellor, she’s worked in many areas of education, including Digital Technologies, Arts & Cultures, and life skills.Chantal’s teaching style is all about engagement, fostering a fun, positive, and flexible environment that encourages independent learning. Right now, she’s enjoying getting to know the unique personalities in Room 14 and appreciating the welcoming Aussie humour. Outside of school, Chantal enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, camping, and arts and crafts. We’re thrilled to have her as part of the KPS team!
