Partners in

Learning

At Kalgoorlie Primary School, we believe that families play a vital role in a child’s education. A strong partnership between home and school fosters an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed.

Through active involvement in learning, encouragement, and shared values, families help shape a child’s academic journey and personal growth. By working together with teachers, families strengthen student engagement, build resilience, and lay the foundation for a future filled with confidence, respect, and lifelong success.

🔴⚪ National Families Day ⚪🔴To cap off our 130th anniversary celebrations, we marked National Families Day with a special family breakfast on Friday morning.Families were invited to come together, share some food, enjoy a play and spend time connecting with one another around the school. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the people who make KPS what it is.As a school with generations of families connected to our story, this was the perfect way to finish a week of celebrating our history, our community and the strong relationships that continue to shape KPS today.Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special.#kalgoorlieps #KPS130 #nationalfamiliesday ... 🔴⚪ KPS Families ⚪🔴At KPS, our connection to the school goes far beyond the classroom. This video shows just a handful of the families who not only work at KPS, but also trust our school with their own children. In fact, around a third of our staff currently have family attending KPS.We could only wrangle a few for the video, because like all good school families, we’re usually busy juggling many hats at once! This says a lot about the belief our staff have in this school, our team and the community we are building together. We are proud to be a school where staff are deeply invested, not just as educators, but as parents and families too.KPS really is a family school.#kalgoorlieps #KPS130 #kpsthroughtheyears ... 🔴⚪ Generations of KPS ⚪🔴At KPS, family runs deep. For 130 years, generations of families have walked through our gates, with parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins and now their own children all sharing part of their learning journey here. It’s one of the things that makes our school so special and unique in Kalgoorlie. KPS isn’t just a place students attend. It’s a place families return to, remember and continue to be part of.As we celebrate our history, we’d love to hear from more families who have a KPS connection. If your family has been part of our school story across the years, share your memories with us in the comments.#kalgoorlieps #KPS130 #kpsthroughtheyears ... See MoreSee Less
