The Heart of

Our School

At Kalgoorlie Primary School, our values of Respect, Inclusion, Mindfulness, and Determination shape our school culture and guide our students in their learning and personal growth.

We promote Respect through kindness, empathy, and positive relationships. Inclusion is central to our school, where everyone feels valued and supported.

Mindfulness encourages self-awareness, well-being, and thoughtful learning. With Determination, students build resilience, seize opportunities, and strive for success.

Together, these values create a strong foundation for lifelong learning and positive contributions beyond the classroom.

Partners in

Learning

At Kalgoorlie Primary School, we believe that families play a vital role in a child’s education. A strong partnership between home and school fosters an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed.

Through active involvement in learning, encouragement, and shared values, families help shape a child’s academic journey and personal growth. By working together with teachers, families strengthen student engagement, build resilience, and lay the foundation for a future filled with confidence, respect, and lifelong success.

🔴⚪ Staff Spotlight ⚪🔴Meet Mirabilis (or as we know her, Billi) one of our newest teachers here at KPS!Originally from Broome, Billi recently made the move to Kalgoorlie (just three weeks ago!) after working her way up from childcare educator to centre manager. She’s now stepping into her first teaching role and we’re thrilled to have her as part of the team.Billi is Early Childhood trained but has already enjoyed getting to know students across a range of year levels. Her teaching style is creative and relaxed, with a strong focus on building positive classroom culture and helping students fall in love with learning, especially when it comes to English and vocabulary. She comes from a family of teachers and grew up watching her parents make a difference in the lives of children up north and now she’s following in their footsteps.Outside of school, Billi loves the outdoors, camping, beach days, and going for walks with her little dog Bean (who may or may not be helping her take up running!).Welcome to KPS, Billi.#kalgoorlieps ...
