Community

P&C

The Kalgoorlie Primary School Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association plays a vital role in fostering a strong, engaged, and supportive school community. Through collaboration, fundraising, and active involvement, the P&C enhances student experiences, strengthens family connections, and contributes to the school’s ongoing success.

With a commitment to inclusion, respect, and teamwork, the P&C ensures that parents, caregivers, and community members can actively participate in shaping the educational environment for all students. By working alongside teachers and school leaders, the P&C helps drive positive initiatives, improve resources, and support student learning.

The P&C is currently working on exciting projects to further enhance the school environment. One key initiative is fundraising for a Nature Playground, planned for the northwest corner of the school, which will provide students with a dynamic outdoor learning space.

Additionally, the P&C is dedicated to supporting student wellbeing by running an efficient and effective canteen service every Friday, ensuring students have fresh and affordable meal options.

Through dedication and collective effort, the Kalgoorlie Primary School P&C continues to make a meaningful impact—ensuring that every child has access to the best possible education and a thriving school community.

Allied Health

Services

Kalgoorlie Primary School benefits from a range of allied health services designed to support students’ wellbeing and learning. These services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and psychological support, helping students overcome challenges that impact their education. These services are able to be provided for on site, meaning students minimise the learning time missed, and parents do not to attend therapy sessions.

The school facilitates partnerships between schools and external service providers to ensure students receive the necessary health, disability, and wellbeing support. These services can be delivered at school when appropriate, allowing students to access professional care without disrupting their learning.

By working collaboratively with families, educators, and health professionals, Kalgoorlie Primary School fosters an inclusive environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

Alumni

Kalgoorlie Primary School is proud of its rich history and the many students who have passed through its doors. We are committed to strengthening our alumni connections and celebrating the achievements of our former students.

As part of this initiative, we aim to build a network that honours the contributions of alumni, fosters community engagement, and preserves the school’s legacy. We encourage past students to reconnect, share their stories, and be part of upcoming recognition efforts.

If you’re a former student, we’d love to hear from you! Please contact Elarna Papandrea, Operations Coordinator, via email.

The 125th anniversary of Kalgoorlie Primary School was a milestone that celebrated its long-standing history and impact on the community. As the oldest primary school in the city, this anniversary highlighted its legacy of education and the generations of students who have passed through its doors.

The school marked the occasion with a special reunion, bringing together former staff and students from across the state. The event featured stalls, food vendors, and community activities, fostering a sense of connection between past and present students. A time capsule from the school’s centenary year was also opened, offering a glimpse into the past and reinforcing the school’s commitment to preserving its history.
