Sarah Davis

Having grown up in the Pilbara and attended school in Paraburdoo, before moving with her family to the Swan Valley, Sarah always felt connected to regional life. This experience inspired her to pursue teaching in rural communities, where her placements, including several in Tom Price, confirmed her love for the close-knit and supportive environment of small towns.
She joined Kalgoorlie Primary School late in 2020, initially as a full-time relief teacher. After teaching Year 3 for three years, she moved to Kindy this year, where she enjoys the play-based approach that allows her to shape lessons around her students’ interests.
Sarah is motivated by helping children grow both academically and socially, and she feels proud when she sees her students’ progress each year. She appreciates the collaborative environment at KPS, where her students’ love of sports and hands-on activities make each day dynamic and fun.
Outside of school, Sarah enjoys watching the local Railways football team, going on walks with her husband and friends, and spending time with her dog. She loves camping with her sister, who lives nearby, and stays active playing squash and touch football.
Sarah’s favourite moments at KPS include organising exciting excursions to local mine sites, leading creative projects like building a mock mine, and taking part in school carnivals. Her dedication to creating a positive learning environment makes her a valued member of the KPS community.
